Murray St, Prahran

Bloom partnered with Flack Studio to transform this double-fronted original brick Victorian into a sculpturally expressive home. The client granted David Flack full creative freedom, resulting in a completely unique design that mirrors the boldness of abstract artwork. Every surface within the home was reimagined, including a solid hand-carved walnut kitchen island benchtop.

We worked closely with steel fabricators and joiners to craft the steel pivot mirrors in the master ensuite and the steel-clad floor-to-ceiling pantry door and rangehood. The palette throughout the home is unapologetically rich, featuring bold finishes of brass, terrazzo, natural stone, polished plaster and blackened steel, all layered with precision and poise. This was a project that pushed boundaries and rewarded both trust and expertise.
